Musician Con Fuoco

Jaime Gilligan-Santucci, Musician Con Fuoco, is a charismatic and versatile performer and teacher residing in the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia area. Performing as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician nationally and internationally, Jaime is a passionate and talented pianist, flutist, and piccoloist. She has won numerous competitions at the state, national and international level, to include concerto competitions on all three instruments! She has performed at such venues as The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. with the Washington Chamber Symphony, in six countries across Europe, and at various festivals and masterclasses throughout the United States. She draws from the expertise and pedagogical wisdom of the wonderful teachers and world renown musicians with whom she has studied. Jaime is currently working on her Masters in Music and is a member of the Capital Wind SymphonyOld Bridge Chamber Orchestra, the Columbia Flute Choir, and a sub for the Capital City Symphony in Washington D.C. area. She also has the fortunate opportunity to perform with her very talented sister, in an interchangeable duo called "Duality." She recently performed at The White House this past December with the Columbia Flute Choir. She was also selected as a Guest Artist Performer Competition Winner and will be performing for Tadeu Coelho at the Flute Society of Washington's annual Mid-Atlantic Flute Fair in February. This summer she will be touring in Austria, Germany, and Slovakia with the Boston Metropolitan Flute Orchestra. Jaime is a member of the Washington Flute Society, the National Flute Association, and the Northern Virginia Music Teacher's Association. Jaime loves sharing and developing her love of music with all those who enjoy and seek after the art and language of music.

Music, however, has not been her only pursuit and passion! It is something she has loved all her life, yet it is something she had left at one point and has come back to. Jaime is a musician and a veteran. After College and only a year and half after September 11th, she knew there was a different calling on her life, at least for that point in time. Jaime joined the U.S. Air Force where she loved serving as an Intelligence Officer and Targeteer. Information, weapon systems, fighting the current war, and supporting the amazing troops became her job and passion...Never leaving her love for music and performing too far behind. Even during deployment to Al Udeid AB Qatar to the 379th AEW, thanks to the deployed Chapel, she found solemn in practicing and pursuing her music alongside many other musicians and soldiers.

Today, Jaime still has the heart of a warrior and airman and is a part-time member of the Maryland Air National Guard, but she has set aside her full-time military career and is pursing the art and study as a classical pedagogue and performer. In fact, she now is using her computer, not for intelligence analysis, but for the expansion and pursuit of music! As a wife of an Air Force pilot and a mother, she is a freelance musician with a new Fire and Passion driving her. Aside from graduate work, studio/online teaching and performing in the D.C. metro and Northern Virginia area, she is preparing for a few competitions stateside and in Europe.
